Why is my full payment from American Express delayed on Shopify?

Good morning, we received an order of over € 1300 from a customer who paid with America Express. Shopify has credited us, however, only about € 122, with a message that the rest of the money will be payed on September 2021.

I  would to know if this is how Shopify accept payment by American Express cards or if there is something I should know.

Since what you're describing is not default behaviour for processing payments via American Express and/or Shopify Payments, I would definitely encourage you to reach out to our support team to clarify why we are seeing this payout delayed. To get in touch with our team, you can visit our Help Center, log in to your account, enter a topic into the search field (for example, "payouts"), then choose from our available contact options, which may include live chat, callback, and email.
