Why is the order status page inaccurately displaying delivery status?

Currently, we send out a confirmation email once the customer has placed their order.

When the customer clicks on "View your order", it takes them to the order status page.

On this page, the order status message says "Your order has been delivered".

Is there any reason why this might be happening?
