Why is the 'pay now' button failing to process invoices?

Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear your pay now button is not working correctly. 

I will need more context to look further into this for you. Are your customers clicking the invoice link you send them, and when they click pay now, it won't allow them to pay? If so, can you send a screenshot of the screen they see? Is there an error coming up on their end?

My customers are frustrated and tired of waiting. This happens over and over. The response i get from Shopify is tell them to clear their cookies and restart their computer. By the time they get to me, I get to you and back to them and then back to me they have list interest in the purchase. I can just sell thru square and forget shopify. You gave no answers for me. Why is this happening???

I would be happy to help fix this issue on your store, but I need the information I mentioned in my previous message as these issues aren't always an easy fix, and there could be many reasons why this issue is happening. To identify this specific issue, I will need the following information. Please provide your URL so I can test on my end and any screenshots you have of the issue. Could you also provide me with the current theme you are using? Have you made any changes to your site's code recently?

I have the same thing happening with orders that we send to customers, they click the "Complete Your Purchase" button on the invoice and then it goes to enter their card info, once they do that the "Pay Now" button remains unclickable.

Still not working, multiple times on multiple devices throughout the months.

I'm a shopper, not a shop owner.

Platform: Linux Firefox 116.0.2 (64-bit) snap canonical-002 - 1.0

Settings: 'Standard Tracking Protection'

Two different webshops open at the same time, neither one working.

Cookies for shop.add and shopify.com:

There were no console/debug messages when trying to click the button. 

There seemed to be none onclick handlers on the button, but I did not check thoroughly.

I did not delete/flush cookies as I think you should not write software that chokes on its own cookies.

Created a Shopify account to notify of this behavior as well on Shop.app.

HONESTLY HOW IS THIS NOT FIXED! THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN THERE FOR MORE THAN HALF A YEAR NOW.
Every time i have to use shop.pay it is a pain. After a user entering all your info, you can't click pay! The #1 thing you want customers to do.

Also crazy I cant report this easy on shop.pay and had to create this account.
Either your devs or management are incompetent!
