Why is the store I ordered from now unavailable?

I placed an order with unique-kitchen-market.shopify.com on Feb 4,2022. i received a confirmation through sms as below:

Transaction No. 14666350499 for Rs 498.00 done for SUMIN has succeeded from payu team

Now on tracking the store is unavailable. @Shopify team pls help resolve the issue

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue. 

 

To give you some context, Shopify is a platform that allows merchants to create their online store and sell products, however we don't have control to the individual stores or their orders. 

 

I had a look and I was also unable to access the store on my end. Have you tried contacting the owners of the store directly? If not, check the email confirmation for the order and see what email it came from, you can then address your concerns to that email address. 

 

Because your order was so recent, I would recommend you wait 3-4 weeks, and if in that time you don't get your order or they don't respond to your emails, my next suggestion is that you enquire with your bank about getting the funds for the order back.

 

Additionally, if you suspect fraudulent activity, it would be very helpful if you could report the store to us here. That way, we will be able to investigate it sooner and take action where necessary.

Hi Lana,

Thanks for your email response. I found an email id below the payment
details I had made. I did send an email to that id, no response so far.

I just received an SMS not a email of order confirmation. Like you said
will wait for a week more and then take next steps as advised.

The store name was unique-kitchen-market.

Hope this gets resolved.

It is now 2023 and I am having the same issue with my order. I ordered an item from raspbery-pi.com via Shopify on June 18. Shopify show the item was ship but I don't see a tracking number. The store website became unavailable few days after the money was paid. I contacted the store at sales@store-stanley.com but never got a response. It is time consuming calling my bank to dispute the purchase. There are so many scam stores on Shopify and it seems to me that Shopify is doing nothing to stop it. I don't think I will buy anything again from Shopify.
