Why is UPS Ground Shipping option missing for certain orders?

I have three orders where the customers paid for UPS Ground. When I try to process these orders, UPS Ground is not an option. There is no pattern. UPS.com recognizes the addresses as good and offers ground service to these zip codes. Is this a glitch? Known issue? Please advise. Thanks!

Thank you both for getting in touch and for notifying us of this issue. I wanted to let you know that we are currently experiencing an issue with our UPS integration and the result of this is that UPS Ground rates are not populating when merchants go to purchase a shipping label. I believe this is primarily affecting merchants who have their own UPS accounts connected to Shopify.

 

Our engineers were made aware of this issue earlier today and are currently working on a fix. We hope to have a fix implemented soon and in the meantime you may wish to buy your labels directly from UPS or from a third-party service that offers label purchases.

I don't have my UPS account. Have always used Shopify's. The UPS shipping options are not showing up. I only see USPS options, which are a lot more expensive. Please help!

Thank you both for getting in touch. At the time of writing, there is an ongoing issue related to purchasing UPS shipping labels and this is noted on our status page. Our developers are aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix.

 

Our status page will be updated as we seek to find and implement a resolution to this issue. We hope to have this issue resolved soon, but if you need to purchase a UPS label urgently I would recommend doing so either via UPS directly or through another third-party shipping service which offers UPS labels for purchase.
