Why isn't my Wise bank account connecting with Shopify payments?

I can't connect my bank account manually in Shopify payments. When I correctly put my Routing number and Account number to add my bank it says that error with this account "Routing number is not supported" I'm using Wise bank account, however the account is checking account and is the same currency USD as of my shopify store.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved. To confirm I'm fully understanding, what country are you currently located in?

 

Depending on where your business is located, we may have a few requirements that your bank account must meet in order to receive payouts with Shopify Payments. To learn more about this, I'd encourage you to check out our Bank Account Requirements document as it touches on this further. 

 

For businesses located within the United States, bank accounts must meet all  of the following: 

 

  • Have a valid USD bank account that's located in the United States
  • Have a valid checking / current account
  • Eligible for ACH transfers

 

If after reviewing those requirements, your bank account meets all of the outlined points, you can connect with us directly. This will allow for our support team to take a closer look as we don't have access to any account information through the Community.

 

The connect with us, you can: 

 

  • Head over to our Help Center.

  • Enter into the chat box Contact Support.

  • Log into your shop.

  • Select one of the available support options.
