Why my Shopify account payment PayPal inactive show.

Thanks for getting in touch! It's definitely important to ensure that PayPal is working correctly on your store to allow payment for your customers. Rest assured, I will do my best to help you once I have a little more detail.

Can you tell me if you are unable to complete the PayPal account activation as shown in this help guide?   Or is it possibly the case that PayPal set up is complete, however it doesn't appear or work as an option at checkout? If you can, please provide a screenshot of the issue you're having trouble with or alternatively your store URL so that I can test the checkout for you if the issue is with your PayPal checkout.

Aside from this, is this your first store? I'd love to hear more about it and help you with some business growth ideas too!

Hey, I have the same problem. I can't connect my paypal account with my store, it shows that my paypal account is "inactive".

Please provide a screenshot of the error message if you have one.

 

Are you also seeing this error in the payments section or somewhere else?

 

Can you check that the country within your shop is the same as the one set within your PayPal account?

 

Is the Account Owner email address on Shopify the same as the email address used for your PayPal business account?  Did you receive any emails from PayPal about your account activation?

Hi,

 

I'm facing the same issue here, I saw that there is no solution yet no one provided a pricture for the issue we are facing. 

Kindlly see the below picture:

aftet authinication and authrization against paypal they redirect me to my shopify store, and the statis is inactive, 

when try to click active i'ts return us to the same point we started.

Please confirm if your store's country matches the one set for your PayPal account, as this is a common cause of the account not activating properly?

 

 

Can you please confirm that your PayPal account is in fact a business account and not a personal PayPal account? If you are needing to upgrade your account to business, please see this upgrade my PayPal account doc here.

 

Can you please confirm that the email address you are using to set up your PayPal account is the same email address you use when you sign in to your Shopify store/account? When these two accounts do not match, this can result in the PayPal activation not quite registering and remaining inactive?

 


Are you able to try and re-connect your PayPal account again? Before you do so, clear your cache and make sure you are using a supported browser like Chrome.
