Will Shopify look to split Northern Ireland from the main UK shipping zone?

Are there any plans to remove Northern Ireland from the United Kingdom shipping zone? 

We are based in England and want to stop shipping to Northern Ireland once export paperwork is required to send from England to NI. Surely this should be a relatively simple job to do? 

If Shopify aren't looking to introduce this, how can the shipping zone be split to remove Northern Ireland? Preferably without having to pay for an app.

This is a limitation in Shopify, as you cannot break out Northern Ireland - or Scotland and Wales for that matter - into their own shipping zone. To my knowledge, there is currently no way to work around this in Shopify.

I understand it may not be ideal, but if you are open to using a third-party solution, Intuitive Shipping lets you create sub-zones based on postal codes. Using our Condition Group feature, you can create a sub-zone with all Northern Ireland postcodes (call it "Northern Ireland"), then apply the 'group' to a Shipping Scenario, so the condition reads: Northern Ireland > equals > true.
