Recently I'm getting an onslaught of zero dollar "sales." Culprits are adding my "this is a gift" option to cart and checking out.
It's annoying and I can't figure out how to make it stop. Can someone assist?
Thanks!

Thanks! I will reach out to get help with how to implement your suggestion. I went into shipping and delivery and I think I set the minimum value to $45, cost of my lowest cost item, but could use another set of eyes.
You can stop people going to checkout of price is 0 or if the gift option is the only product that is added to cart or checkout.
There could be a lot of ways to do this, just mentioned what popped up now.

That could be one solution. I am a developer so only code ways come to mind.
The other way is that you can modify code to check if there is only one product in the cart or cart items in your case gift, if that is the case you can disable the checkout button or enable it otherwise.
Hope these help.
