payment_gateway_names data of order is not added after split

I have split an order using API and create a new order using API. I have passed "CoD" as a value to the "payment_gateway_names" parameter.

The newly created order did not show the payment_gateway_names" values in the JSON. It is just empty.

i am facing the same problem. i want to set prepaid or postpaid order in payment_gateway_names. but shopify overide in as manual. how can i set custom payment_gateway_names.
