POS Improvement – Partial Order Fulfillment

Hello Shopify Team,

I hope you're doing well.

I won’t hide the fact that I absolutely love using your services daily! Your solutions are outstanding and efficient, and our team truly enjoys working with the back office and POS.

However, we have one major frustration with the POS. We often process sales where some products are handed directly to the customer, while others need to be shipped.

I understand that your current solution is to create two separate orders: one for the products to be shipped and another for those given to the customer immediately. But honestly, this makes things significantly more complex, mainly because:

• We have to enter two separate orders for the same customer.

• The customer has to make two separate payments, which isn’t ideal for either of us.

So my question is simple: Are you planning to introduce an update in the coming days or weeks that would allow us to mark, within a single order, which products are to be shipped and which have been handed to the customer?

This kind of feature would be a game changer for us and would make us adopt the solution ad vitam æternam!
