Add Points on Purchase in the Store to Online Account

Hi,

We are planning to use Shopify for our Online Store.

We will be opening a local store as well.

We are going to give 1 point for every £1 they spend.

But, what is the best option to give customers these points on purchases they make in the shop?

Can the customers use any card and use it with a card reader in the shop to add their points of purchase in the shop?
