Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hello, thanks for taking the time to look at this. I have a store that sells (mostly) football teamwear. A typical order is usually for a team of several players rather than individual orders. If customers order a tracksuit top then they might be ordering 5 x small, 5 x medium and 5 x large, for example. In the default format customers would select x5 small then add to cart then select x5 medium then add to cart then x5 large then click add to cart. Is there a theme or a simple way to enable products to be displayed so that 5 of each of the items could be typed next to relavant size and then add to cart would only need to be clicked once? We have found a great free app from MultiVariants - Bulk Order which does indeed solve this, but if there was a theme or a way of just changing the dafault display it would be preferred.
This is because the next thing 're trying to do it enable customisation of products, adding squad numbers and/or sponsor print to relavant items. That feature almost certainly needs a 3rd part app, there are several that work ok like YMQ and Hulk, BUT when we use two different 3rd party apps they don't work perfectly with one another. Sometimes one app overules the other, sometimes they partially work. The feedback we've had so far from the apps is along of the lines of 'we aren't responsible for other providers apps' which is perfectly reasonable, but if we can't get the apps to work together then nether app is worth using on it's own. And that leaves us with two choices I think, contact a shopify design expert or leave shopify entirely and potentially spend tens of thousands of pounds on a totally bespoke website. I'd obvioulsy prefer to be able to do it myself and have more control, but I'm not an expert in coding at all, I like learning how to work new apps, but as soon as it gets too technical I'm a bit lost!
Does this kind of problem sound familiar to anyone else? Has anyone solved this problem in a different way? We're still playing around with various apps and hoping we can get somewhat close to find a solution. I appreciate we might only 80-90% of the way under the constraits of shopify framework and apps, but at this moment in time that would be preferred to spending a lot of of money to reach the 90-100% which we'd have in an ideal World.
As an example product for the adding quantities to different sizes please see the Stanno socks on the supplier website (ignore the multiple colours that's not a problem at this stage) and then see the same socks on our website. As you can see on the Stanno website if you wanted 2 of each size you'd type 2 next to each size then press add to cart ONCE whereas on our site you have to click add to cart 5 times to buy the same products.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated at this stage! Thanks very much. Chris.
Hi @Chris_Whalley,
You can explore the Easify Product Options app to create custom options for your product. A demo, resembling what you may be seeking, is available below 🤗:
This demo is conveniently stored as a template in the app, allowing you to tailor it to your specific requirements.
If there are any aspects where the app falls short of your expectations, just let me know. We are open to considering enhancements to better align with your needs.
Hi Chris,
We're building a store at the moment and have a very similar problem with displaying a size/quantity ordering feature. Did you look into any of the provided solutions? Any joy with them? We have a customised clothing business (workwear and promotionalwear) and therefore need very similar functionality to yourself. We have managed to get the customisation part to work well with a 'form' crreated using Aco - Product Options & Addons. the App has free set up and they have basically created a form for us that will handle the customisation for our needs. They also set it up to handle the colours and sizes, including the quantity/size selition boxes but for us it's not ideal as it takes a while to adjust each products own form and we have 1000s of products. It may however work for you?
Hiya, we're still just testing things out. Kickflip is great, but we can't get the layout leaves large gaps and we can't get the 'list view' to be the default way to add information. The only other downside is that if a customer uploads several sizes and spending a long time adding all the info then once they've added to cart they can't then go back and edit or add, they'd have to delete the entire order or add a new product separately to the first set they bought, which isn't ideal. But for a small %-age of sale it's very handy for certain products. Going to test Easify next week. Not sure if they allow for additional pricing to be added for doing the customisations or not yet though. If someone wants a badge adding it needs to add a certain price for a certain type of badge rather than just adding the badge information. We're also looking to have a custom site build from scratch, but this could be anywhere from 15K - 75K and we don't have that kind of money to spend! (However if it actually did everything at the back end and front end we want that would be worth it, but the risk is far too high without guarantees). Do your forms allow customers to pay or do you just get the info you need to then be able to write up an invoice? That could help with certain products I think for us. But the holy grail is customers can add all the info and details and get correct prices and pay online and so we receive order that are fully fleshed out and paid for which would save the time of going back and forth editing quotes/invoices. Keep us posted if you get any further with your quest!
