Can a Shopify 2D scanner quicken stock input?

Hello there,

Can you only manually input stock you receive?

Is there not a way using the shopify 2d scanner to quickly input received stock?

Currently when we receive stock we have to go into shopify and manually input incoming product, that doesn't seem quite right.

This seems to be tricky, because maybe each time you scan a product, a different bar code will be generated, and you may not know which product that barcode belongs to. Thus, most POS systems cannot fulfill this requirement.

The procedure is relatively similar to our Stocktake feature:
Step 1: Select the input stock list. You can manually select the available products in inventory, or import products.
Step 2: Count stock. When counting and clicking at the number box of product A, you can scan continuously to count the stock. You can still count the number of products A manually, and insert the quantity manually or import a count file.
Step 3: Select to update inventory, inventory will be updated exactly to the counted quantity.
