Can POS print a coupon with receipt after spending a certain amount?

Does anyone know if you can set an amount to where when a customer spends a certain amount at the register, when it prints the receipt it will also print a coupon for there next purchase?

I have not. Im hearing rumblings of a solution from Shopify with each new POS rollout. I've been told this is on their radar and they are working on this.

Hey folks! If you are using POS Pro for your retail locations, then we just launched the ability to edit the POS receipt using liquid (similar to email notifications), so this may now be possible. It would take a developer to build that code out for you most likely but liquid does support if/then statements, allowing for certain requirements to be met before applying a change. 

 

In the receipt editor, you can click the 3 dots in the upper left of the editor page and select "Edit Code" to view the liquid editor. You can learn more about this in our Help Center here: Receipt Code Editor.

Can you confirm there is indeed a way to hand the customer their receipt that includes a discount code or barcode (please clarify which) with a discount for their next purchase. And can you make it have an expiration date ?

You can customize your POS receipts from your Shopify admin in the Point of Sale channel, or from the Shopify POS app to include a barcode or discount code. You can find more information here: Add custom information to your receipts.
