Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
So on Shopify pos when doing a return I want to refund orders to gift cards and not original payment. The option when doing a return on the pos app on my phone but it’s not there when using the iPad app. Not sure why this is but my main terminal is going to use an iPad so I need this option on the iPad. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? I attached pics of both screens
You might have already figured this out, but this and your other questions do sound like there's an issue with the App on your iPad. For us, yes the option to Refund to Gift Card always appears on the iPad - as does the option in Settings to enable physical gift cards.
I think we might have had a similar problem when we first started, which we resolved by deleting and reinstalling the App on the iPad (possibly also making sure the iPad iOS was up to date at the same time). Definitely worth doing that if you haven't already. I know you've already fired up the App on your phone, which does show the Refund to Gift Card option. Does it also show the correct options in Settings to enable physical gift card sales?
I am having this same issue now, 7 months later. Did you ever find a solution?
Any update on this issue? We've tried reinstalling the apps...
Had to upgrade my Shopify subscription
I was able to finally fix this by actually logging out of the iPad app. When you log back in it should refresh all your settings.
Shopify support told me I needed to reinstall the app, but that didn't work for me either. I think Apple stores all the settings in the cloud.
