We would like to start using Shopify POS in our stores, but from the initial tests, we can see that there are several missing features.
Is it possible to create an extension to add fields in the customer profile?
At the end of a sale, a receipt should always be printed. However, there may be cases where it is not necessary (for example, when an invoice is issued). Is it possible to exclude the receipt before finalizing the sale?

It's definitely possible to set receipts to not automatically print. This then gives you a prompt after the order has gone through to then print the receipt if it's required.
Regarding customer fields, at the moment unfortunately nothing really native on this front. You can add tags and notes to the customers using those fields, but not defined custom fields. I believe at some stage they will make customer metafields accessible at the POS hopefully, but it's not there yet.
There may be some apps that allow you to do this, but they never seemed that great to me.

We hope they can also add the ability to extend the customer fields. It would be very useful to have the customer card code (possibly with the ability to read the barcode) fields to issue an invoice and date of birth.
