Can Wisepad 3 reader work with Stripe payments on the POS app?

I have our online store running which accepts Strip as the payment method. We now want to move away from iZettle in our actual store and use the Shopify POS app so everything is on in place. I am unable to pair the Wisepad 3 reader. Will this not work with Stipe payments on the POS app?

Hi @Matt_Durrant,

The Wisepad 3 terminal can only be used by merchants in selected countries who are using Shopify Payments as their primary gateway, as listed here. You will not be able to use the terminal through the Shopify POS to collect payments through the Stripe gateway, or any other gateway that is not Shopify Payments.

If you are not eligible to use Shopify Payments, or if you wish to continue using Stripe, then you will need to use an external card reader that can capture payments via the Stripe gateway. Payments processed via an external reader can be marked as a custom payment method through the Shopify POS system.
