Can you set a minimum credit card purchase for POS?

Is there a way to set a minimum credit card purchase for the POS? Theoretically this would still allow cash and debit purchases but would stop the cafe worker from being able to specifically put a credit card transaction through. This would only be for the POS, not for the online store.

Thank you for your question. I have just checked this with our Retail team and they have confirmed that at this time it is not possible to set a credit card minimum on the Shopify POS. You can of course set this limit yourself in terms of having your staff only accept credit card as a method of payment when the order total is over the specified amount, however there is not an option within the POS to prevent the payment from being processed if the value is under this amount.

 

I do see why this would be a helpful addition, however, and I will be sure to log your feedback with our Retail department's development team for their consideration.
