Changing the add to cart button to contact us button

I want to change the Add to Cart button to a Contact Us button but having tried the list of instructions on how to do this serveral times and conversing with a Shopify support advisor I am none the wiser. The list of instructions comes up with a line of code to find and alter that I simply can't locate in the template created. {% section 'product-template %}

Any one else out there had this issue and come up with a solution.

Hi @TNPN ,

You are referring to Shopify POS right? Why would you want to change the "Add to Cart"? The POS is supposed to be staff-facing.

If you are referring to your online store, and you are using the 2.0 theme, you just need to hide the "Add to cart" button, and then hopefully your theme comes with a contact form that can be used.

Hi Desmond, as a novice you can reasonably assume I know little. The store is a wholesale nursery and we don't want to publicise prices. I possibly posted the request for assistance in the wrong forum (that's one reply I have had so far).
Indeed I do want to hide the Add to Cart button, but I don't want to lose the Add to Quote button. I believe I am using the 2.0 theme (Dawn in my case). The question is how to hide it - the list of instructions I got was inadequate as it referred me to a piece of code to find during the process that wasn't there. I conversed with a Shopify assistant (forget her official title) who just kept referring me to the same list of instructions.
If you could point me to how to hide the add to cart button that would be immensely helpful.
Cheers

No Worries, @TNPN

Just head over to the Theme customizer. At the middle of the screen, you should see "Homepage" with the dropdown. Click on it, hover over to "Products" and then "Default".

On your left, you should be able to see all the blocks of components that make up your product page. Hover over them, you should see an "eye" icon. Clicking on it will hide that specific block.
