We signed up yesterday to take our brick and mortar business online.  However we now have 3 accounts with Shopify, and none are in our business name as we would like it to appear.  Very frustrated at this point.

Hi @Leisap,

When you say business name, are you talking about the domain? The accounts in Shopify really does not matter much since they are tied to the domain

So our business name for our brick and mortar store is Shorter Merchantile, which is also what I want our customers to type in while looking for us online to shop. Instead when creating my Shopify account we have 3 (three) variations of shortermerchantile03 as our name. I’m assuming it’s like that because that’s the first part of our email address. I want to change the name.

I think you are talking about the myshopify.com link? That is only for the Shopify admin and theme. You do have to purchase a domain. 

1. In your admin store, click Settings on left hand bottom corner
2, Go to Domains,
3. Click Buy New domain

NOTE: I would advice to buy your domain right now. You don't actually share the domain you want since people can buy and sell it to you in a higher price.
