Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
I would like to create variants for my most popular based on the location I am in. I can select the product yes, then scroll down for the appropriate variant, but that is extra time.
I'm trying to avoid extra steps in my checkout experience for the customer.
Tech support suggested to add a link but this brings me to my website and a cart....this is not a solution at all, this adds more steps !
Thanks in advance
Hello, @catniptakeout.
Thanks for posting your query to the Shopify Community.
At this time, it does not look like creating a tile based on a variant is a feature on Shopify POS. I can definitely understand the importance of having this function, so I will go ahead and share your feedback request with our product development team for review. That being said, while we're not able to determine if or when the changes will be implemented, they have been shared with our team.
Please keep our Shopify Changelog on hand to stay in the know for new features that come to the platform.

thank you. Seems like an easy fix as it was a feature when I was using square. Every extra button or step when trying to process a sale is critical...especially for business like me that sell at markets and popups.
Adding my voice here that this is super needed. I have one product with 84 variants, but I need only one of those variants during an event. Having to scroll through all that or even selecting the dropdown to find it just adds too many minutes to a purchase. Makes it really hard to keep a line of hundreds moving along.
