Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
We receive damaged items returned by customers or customers damage items. We go into inventory adjustment and adjust the inventory and pick damaged, but where can we pull a report to show these items either end of the month or quarter etc.
I have the same question!! Why has Shopify not responded as this question was posed back in July?
I have reached out several times and googled so much but no answer! !
Same issue here, would like to run a monthly report on "Damaged" stock (selected in the dropdown menu) in order to go back to our distributors. Cannot find a way to run this report.
We have been doing the same thing for damages all year…only to find out we can’t pull a report. So now I have gone back to documenting our damage and theft on a separate Numbers sheet. And I guess I’m out of luck for lost money in everything I put through Shopify since there is no way of pulling a report!
I'd like to know the answer to this, as well. Why record the reason in inventory if we can't ever reference it or mine the data? Did you (or anyone else) ever receive a response from @Shopify on this?
As I understand it, if you make the adjustments directly in Shopify, you won't be able to do the report. If you install the Stocky app (it's a free app from Shopify) and you make the adjustments through Stocky, you CAN get the reports you want. Took me a while to figure that out!
Is it retroactive? I recorded some large damages this year and now realizing that there is no way to pull that up. And they only save inventory history 90 days per product.
