Hii👋 , I need to do 3 for 2 promotion in my shopify store, basically when a customer buys 3 items from a specific selected department, the customer automatically gets the cheapest product for free. can someone kindly guide me? Thank you!

I think this should be relatively straightforward. It would go something like this:

1. In Shopify admin go to Discount and Create Discount
2. Click on “Buy X get Y” as the type of discount
3. On the next screen (where you set up the discount), select Automatic Discount and give it a descriptive title (e.g. “3 for 2 on all hats”)
4. In the Customer Buys section, put the quantity as 2 and then select the collection or products for which the discount applies (e.g. hats).
5. In the Customer Gets section, put the quantity as 1 and then, again, select the collection or products for which the “free” item applies (e.g. hats again). Select “Free” as the discount value.
6. If you want to use this in your physical store, make sure you tick that box in the Availability section.
7. Change any of the Combination or Active Dates parameters as necessary.
8. Click “Save Discount” and you should be all set.
