entering and viewing Inventory reports by invoice number

Good Day,

I would like to enquire if it is possible to enter new merchandise that has come in via an invoice number as our costing changed based on shipment. In addition I would like to know if it would be possible to print a report with regards to sales via the invoice number it came in on as the cost differs based on shipments.
