Experiencing retail stand delays for your business?

Has anyone else ordered the retail stand for their business and just aren't receiving it? Shopify can't even give an estimate of a month. I ordered in early November and when I ordered, the shipping date said delays expected but end of the month, which I completely understand - we're all delaying with shipping delays, no matter the industry. But it's now February, I've received every other piece of equipment for the retail kit except the stand. It's going to be outdated by the time I get it. If my customers were this angry, I would be more forthcoming with information. I also would never oversell knowing that there's potential for a 4-month delay???? I can't get a straight answer from anyone at Shopify. Where are all the retail stands?!?!

Thank you for sharing your experience with ordering hardware from the Shopify Hardware store. I know they have been experiencing huge delays in being able to fulfill orders.


While there are many aspects to the supply chain that have deteriorated over the past 2 years causing this delay, a big issue, and one that has definitely affected a lot of the products in our hardware store, is the microchip shortage that is happening right now. 


Production for these chips is vastly overwhelmed as the demand has increased exponentially. You can find a range of news articles about this and I will link one from the New York Times for yourself and other merchants interested in learning more. 


Please know that if our retail team had any updates available on when orders would be fulfilled, they would let you know. In the interim if the wait is getting too long (understandable if it is) our retail team will happily provide a refund for any backordered parts and you can purchase a similar item from a third party instead.
