Feature Request - Ability to Add Value or Reload Pre-Existing Gift Cards

This is a pretty basic request. We are a resell shop that offers gift card value when customers sell to us. We have people who sell to us weekly. They don't want to carry around 20 gift cards. They want us to be able to reload onto their current gift card. This is also important for returns. Customers would prefer to have the value loaded on a gift card that they already have rather than taking a new gift card.

This feature was offered by our 2 most recent POS systems. We're now burning through 4x the number of physical gift cards that we were prior to migrating to Shopify. Please add this functionality.

This is an old and often requested feature from retailers. Shopify's business model of nickle and dime you to death doesn't allow you to refill your existing gift cards (or bring in your own that you already have) because they lose money on the reselling new hard copy cards to you. We really miss the refill option for adding value to our charity partners. Clients want to come in and give a donation towards the gift card we have in house for a particular charity, but we can no longer add more value to that card. Now we use a manual spreadsheet to track everything. Many things here are not designed for the benefit of the users (us), because they don't make extra money for Shopify. Same as how they used bait and switch with removing the 'save cart' feature.

I add my voice to (re)requesting this as a feature, that is NOT a paid app.
