We often have services provided at retail store level that require us to pay a service provider in cash. Most POS systems have a 'paid out' feature, where your cashier will have the option to enter the value of the cash they are removing, enter either a 'client' to attach to it or enter a service provider name and details of what the transaction is for. This allows the register to remove cash and balance at the end of the day, with the receipt in the cash drawer acting as the cash replacement. Window cleaners, debit and receipt paper merchants, small suppliers, etc. often require us to remove cash from the till.
