KUDOS to the Shopify team for the latest POS update, for ipad, split screen when using ipad camera to scan barcodes, it automatically adds item into the cart.

1. please add an option to provide audible feedback "beep" or "ding" when the item is added into the cart. this is useful when there are plenty of items to scan, and audible feedback acts like a "barcode" scanner beep when the code is read properly.

 

2. on pos app for ipad, when 'add customer' is pressed, the screen switches to customer panel, but cursor is automatically placed on customer name input as new customer. when "search customer" is pressed, the "new customer" fields disappears, and you have to press the "search customer" again to bring up the keyboard. better just default to "search customer" with keyboard out, and leave the "new customer" fields below.

thanks, understood on the challenges with ios system permissions, please do find a work around for this suggested feature. a well deserved praise on this recent update.

just keep up on functional, workflow reduction, sensible updates, rather than 'portfolio enhancing cool features' from the perspective of designers/developers without retail test/experience. please don't fix what's not broken. several past updates have made many monsters out of us frustrated users, especially desktop admin interfaces which resulted in significant increase in unnecessary workflow steps, especially in product addition features.

I just realised yesterday that the ipad POS camera barcode scanning has reverted to its previous version, did someone did a forbidden 'roll back' on the split screen scanning feature?
