Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hi there! I was wondering if anyone had any tips for how we can stop fraudulent buyers...
We have our site set up a little uniquely. We sell custom boxes where there is a set price for the size of the box, and they can pick which items to include. Because of this, we have to set a price on the whole box, and not on the individual items (making the items prices all $0). We have the buy/add to cart button disabled on all products so theoretically they should only be able to add the boxes to their cart. But somehow scammers keep placing orders for $0. We can easily cancel the order after it happens, but sometimes they keep doing it over and over, and it's not just 1 user doing it. Any advise on how we can stop this?
Here is our site if that helps. https://www.sanantonioinabox.com/
I added adjusted my shipping settings & it now automatically charges $10,000 for shipping for any orders that were less than $.01. Needless to say, they don’t actually check out & It finally put an end to the $0 fraudulent orders.
