A product I ordered through Snug Hoodie turned out to be a scam. They took my money and said it was delivered to me but I checked with FedEx and the tracking showed it went to a different name and address. Now their store is “unavailable”. How do I get a refund?
The exact same thing happened to me. I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge. This company’s info email is also a sham. No one ever responded. I also reported both Instagram accounts as Spam tho IG probably won’t do anything with that
Wow!! Did you get a notice that your package was “delivered”? That’s what I got but according to FedEx it was a notice for a different person at a totally different address!!
Yes they said the package was delivered but I was home all day so that was a lie. The tracking site also stopped working a day after I reached out to their info email so that also raised suspicions.
Same! I was home too! And not my front door either
Did the front door they showed in the Shopify site look like the one they showed me?
this was the picture I got. And when I talked to FedEx, they said that it was delivered but not to my name or address. So it’s not a fake picture. The scammers have access to real tracking numbers.
Wow I would love to know how they are getting the real tracking numbers! This is insane!!
Oh no! I ordered 2 on November 4th and still haven't received them. Now I see their email address and storefront aren't even valid anymore. I guess I am going to figure out how to put in a dispute. I was hoping I would find good news when I googled this, but unfortunately, I see there are lots of us that have been scammed!
It sounds like they got away with a bunch of $$.. Terrible!!! 😞
The exact same thing happened to me with Snug Hoodie. Twice! When I didn’t get the first order, I assumed they’d made a mistake and it would be resolved. Because the shop was in Shopify, I automatically assumed it was safe to shop from. So I re-ordered the same two items as they would have been the perfect Christmas gifts. Now the same thing has happened with both orders and they’ve not responded to any emails I’ve sent them. Their website has disappeared. I’m out $160 USD.
I tried to report them to Shopify for fraud and Shopify won’t even allow a claim until it’s been over 30 days. They’ve got all the time in the world to take our money and run.
I did some googling and apparently
Shopify is not as safe as it seems. While I know there are a lot of honest sellers, I feel leery to buy from any shops that are using the Shopify platform.
Oh my gosh I am so sorry! I even thought about doing the same, placing the order again and dealing with a refund of the first order later. I was able to see their website a couple days ago and now Snug Hoodie is GONE! Thank you so much for replying and I’m sorry you also got duped by Snug Hoodie!!
Thanks. I have never experienced anything like this. I’m disputing both charges through my credit card company. Hopefully they can help.
Me neither. At first I thought it was a FedEx problem because I got a notice that my package was “delivered”. When I looked at the pic of the doorstep it went to on FedEx it was NOT my door. So I called FedEx and they said the tracking belonged to a completely different name and address in a different t city. I wondered if Snug was going to try to blame FedEx for the issue but evidently it has vanished with the cash instead. Did you get a “delivery” notification of your items? If so was it to a door with a flowered “welcome” mat? Here is my tracking- I’m wondering if you were given the same fake info. I also reported mine to the credit card info. I will keep you posted!
FWIW, this exact Snuggie hoodie is available on Amazon now. Under a different vendor. Hopefully it’s legit. We’ll see.
That’s cool. I’d trust Amazon. I think. lol
This was the exact hoodie I ordered too. I did see it on Amazon and trust them more since you can dispute a package if it doesn't arrive. I'm trying to decide if I want to order them through them now.
Yes exact same. FedEx said delivered but not my name or address. It wasn’t my front door either. I’d like to know how they’re getting active tracking numbers from FedEx.
Same thing happened to me. I payed through pay pal and thought I would try the installment plan through Affirm. What joke. Got the email with the "fake" Fed Ex tracking number. They reported it delivered 2 days after I ordered it and said it was signed by C. Easton. I tried to contact company and only got an error trying their site. Then I contacted Affirm since I had only had 1 payment taken from my account. They had me file a dispute with all info and a few days later I got a response from them saying it was declined and I was accountable for future loan installments. What a joke! I was just trying to buy a couple xmas presents and it has turned into the biggest headache ever. I recommend to everyone to NEVER use the company AFFIRM, they dont follow through. If I would have just done it through paypal I probably would have got my money refunded.
Same exact thing happened to me. Fedex confirmed delivery to a different address. Picture showed a package from Walmart. I called fedex but they could not help me as the shipping zip I provided they said is wrong. Emailed the seller and never got an answer then suddenly their site no longer exists. Just sent a complaint to Chase. Hopefully I get my money back. I do not see their advertisements on social media anymore either, but they could be using a different name now.
Samre exact this has happened to me, I am talking to my credit union to get my money back.
Did you have any luck with your credit card company? I am still waiting to hear back and it’s been over a month. They did say it could take two billing cycles so maybe there's still hope
They are investigating it I guess. It said it could take a couple of months. Not sure what they’ll do. It sucks though.
