Google Merchant and GTIN

Hello,

I have the Google merchant app where within this al my products are approved. However on my main dashboard I have an error message saying none of my products are published to Google. No matter what I do I can’t rectify this error message. I make all things by hand so there are no GTIN’s or barcodes. I’ve tried ticking custom product but this makes no difference. If I’m arrived via the Google merchant app can I disregard the error message? Or do I still need to do something to ensure my products are available?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it’s slowly driving me insane!

Thank you

aimee

Hello @aimeegat79 !

I looked into this for you and am wondering if you have synced your product feed yet? The reason I ask is that the Google Shopping app syncs your products in a separate step after your Merchant Center Account has been configured, if this has not been completed I don't believe the products will show up like they aren't for you. Shopify has a helpful document on this going into it in more detail which you can see

Hope this helps!

Also note, after you have setup the connection and clicked on the sync button, it will take a few hours for it to appear in Google Merchant Center.

For your feed rules follow the below setup with this guide: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7450276/set-up-feed-rules?hl=en

Clear the values for the following attributes: brand, gtin and mpn.

Set the identifier exists attribute to no.
