Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hi,
I'm trying to get a report on all Custom Sales from POS, by filtering on Product title = "Custom sale".
I don't seem to be getting all of the sales through though.
Has anyone else had any success with reporting on their custom sales from POS?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

This is an accepted solution.
I spoke to online support - they advised using the standard sales by product report, setting the filter to product id of n/a and product vendor of n/a - this worked perfectly. Thanks to all who made suggestions.
Hi there - it might help if you included a screenshot fo what you are seeing.

Where do I find this report? I don't see one my that name under Analytics -> Reports
Either there's something wrong, or that report requires a plan I don't have. (I have Shopify POS Pro.)
I'd try talking to support - they will be able to sort it out for you as I think we are on similar plans.
The "Sales by Product" report has been removed by Shopify - still unclear as to why - and replaced by a much less helpful report. Use the following guide to quickly create your own export of Custom Sale entries for your staff.
Go to "Orders" page
Use the search filters to filter specific days, etc
Use "Export" button
Select the "50+ orders matching your search option"
(It will either instantly download or send you an unhelpful message that the export will be emailed to you once the systems get the data compiled - more the orders, more the wait)
Open exported file with MS Excel
Use the "Data" menu option at top
Hit the "Filter" funnel to make each column searchable
Find the "Lineitem sku" column, use the drop down menu for it.
Un-check the "Select All" option, scroll to bottom, check the "(Blanks)" item.
In just 9-10 "easy" steps, you can now approximate the original "Sales by Product" report.
You can now sort the data however you like to find what you are looking for. We use this report to quickly go through orders entered with "custom sale" items over the past day or week.
