If you aren't comfortable with coding, the easiest way to add the coming soon feature on your store is by installing a third-party app. There are a few apps on our Shopify App Store here that can help you achieve this. I did a bit of search on my end and was able to find a couple that you might be interested in, feel free to take a look at them:
- Coming Soon Products Preorders app: This app will allow you to make a product unavailable for purchase until a selected launch date. It will also help you with adding coming soon badges to your product and collection pages.
- Coming Soon Products Launcher app: On top of adding a coming soon badge on your store, this app also allows you to collect email addresses from customers that wish to be notified of the product's launch. This feature is particularly useful as it will help you gauge the market demand of your products before restocking them.
Just a note that these apps are made by third-party developers outside of Shopify. So if you need more information about each respective app’s functionality, I recommend getting in touch with the app developers as they are best equipped to answer app specific questions.
Are you using a third-party theme for your store by any chance? If you are, you might find that the theme's website has the coming soon feature directly available to be added. For example, one of our Theme Partners, Out of the Sandbox, has a guide here on how some of their theme users can add coming soon banners to their product collection.
Alternatively, you can also reach out to and hire one of our Shopify Experts if you prefer that the coming soon feature be implemented directly onto your theme's coding without the use of an app.
