How can I place a test order on my live website?

Hi

I have a live website and I am working with this company that will help me with my google ads, So they asking me to do a test order. Can i change to test order mode under payments place the order and then change it back straight away or how do i do it the best way? any help will be helpful. thanks

Yes, you can switch your payment gateway into test mode and then switch it back once you have placed the test order. I recommend reading through our help center doc on this so you don't make any mistakes and it also shares how to put your gateway into test mode.

Hi @Emily unsure if you are still at Shopify but putting a store into test mode to do a test order isnt really an option when a store has significant traffic on it.  There are 20+ people in the cart so i would risk losing orders by doing a test.  What is the best way to do a test order but not have to put the store in test mode or do I simply need to place an order on my card and then refund it?
