How to migrate Epos to an online platform?

Hi!! I wonder if I can get some help here. I started a new job recently and was asked to look into migrating epos at physical shop to shopify. I am new to shopify and epos, but I am computer savvy and pick up things quickly. And I am a little bit old fashioned and like talking to people to find solutions rather than searching the net! I have a couple of questions to start me off, but any suggestions and guidance will be very much appreciated!

1. Is there any info on line about the process?

2. Is there any cost involved in the process?

3. Where do I start with the process?

4. What are the main problems with the process to look out for?
