Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hi there 🙂
We are opening a physical store for our business. So far we have been using the wisepad to recieve payments in markets but it only offers the option for email and SMS reciepts. We need to be able to offer printed reciepts in our store, can we do this with our wisepad? What printer works with the wisepad if there is one?
TIA 🙂

Hey there, @Kaz12345! Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community today with your questions about your Wisepad and printing receipts! My name is Imogen. It's good to meet you!
Unfortunately, the Wisepad is not able to be connected directly to a receipt printer to facilitate printed receipts. This is due to the fact that it's only a card reader, and has to be paired to a device that runs Shopify POS to operate. With that being said, we have a list of supported receipt printers that you can use to print receipts via an alternative set up.
As your questions is retail specific, I wanted to make you aware of a Support Channel you may not know about. If you open your POS App on any device, and go to your main menu, and then the 'Support' Tab. You should see a phone number there. You can call that phone number whenever you like to get connected directly with a member of our Retail Support Team. I recommend that you take time to do this whenever you have questions about your POS set up (like how you can print receipts!) as they're the experts on these sorts of things!

Hi Imogen,
Thanks for your response. I have the POS app on my phone and use that with the wisepad in markets to be able to take card payments. What I wanted to know is if using my phone and wisepad will the reciept printer link to that??
Many thanks,
Kaz
Hey @Kaz12345.
Thanks for the quick response and clarification.
Are you able to specify with us what receipt printer you would like to use, by any chance? As this information will allow us to assist you accordingly.
We do have a list of supported receipt printers that you may reference.
Looking forward to your response.
