Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
At a complete loss as to how to sort our shopify payments processing ability which has been witheld, with no prior notice and no instruction. We have 5 open tickets regarding this matter and shopify support advise it needs the attention of verification dept. But no helpful reply to date. Shockingly poor support and business being lost as a result of same. Would appreciate any advice at all. Thanks guys...

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been stuck without Shopify Payments for five days, that’s incredibly frustrating, especially with no clear answers.
It sounds like your account might be flagged for verification, which can happen unexpectedly, but the lack of follow-up from the verification department is definitely not ideal. Since you’ve got five open tickets, I’d suggest consolidating your outreach. Pick one ticket, reply with a firm but polite request for an urgent update, and mention the business impact (lost sales) to escalate it. Or contact Shopify via Social Media – Shopify’s Twitter/X support (@ShopifySupport) can sometimes escalate urgent cases faster.
In the meantime, consider enabling a backup payment gateway like PayPal or Stripe in Settings > Payments to keep sales flowing while this gets sorted.
