Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hi there,
we are having a pop-up event next week and would like to use the square terminal for in person sales. How do I integrate those sales to my shopify account in order to not loose valuable customer data?
Thanks!
Not all that wise. Probably best just to get a second terminal to use Shopify. And also, could get you in shit if you have an active Shopify fund
But, anyways:
Scan the items into Shopify, add the customer. Get the total, switch over to square, type in a custom sale for the subtotal, let it calculate the GST and take payment.
Then, swap back to Shopify and process is with a custom payment type called "square"
We do the same at the very occasional time when we need to do sales offsite. We use the Square reader for the payment type (shopify couldn't get us a card reader in time) and did the double entry as well.
