Is it possible to use a customer's store-credit for an in-store purchase via Shopify POS?

We've been trying to get store credit, a native Shopify feature, to show up as a payment method in the POS app. From what I've read, it may not currently be possible.

Is there a way to do this?

If not, I'd like to request that it be added as a POS feature.

Our BR Sales Terminal POS app can issue and use Shopify store credit in-store. When store credit is issued, the customer is notified via an email and they can use it online or in-store via our POS app. It's a replacement for Shopify POS that can work on a browser or on a mobile device via the Shop Mobile app.

This was announced by Shopify around a year ago as "early access" and is now enabled by default for all stores.
