Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Our store - http://bonairquiltco.com - has a single home location from which we fulfill orders. A couple times a year, we take all of our inventory to an expo or con and sell in person with Shopify POS. When we do this, we follow this procedure so that we can charge and collect (and pay) local sales taxes at the correct rate:
When we return, we simply reverse this process, re-activating our main location, de-activating our temporary location, and transferring all inventory back to the original location in Shopify.
Last week, after an expo, we tried to reverse this process. We re-activated our main location and made it the default location. But when we try to deactivate our temporary (expo) location, the "Deactivate location" button is inactive and there is a message banner - "Location can't be deactivated right now because inventory is being transferred from another location."
We need to be able to transfer all of our inventory back to our original location and deactivate the other location.
I am having the same issue. The banner
"Location can't be deactivated right now because inventory is being transferred from another location."
Never goes away. It's pretty damning that there has been no reaction to this issue yet. @coffeemetalcode did you manage to fix this?
