Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hi Guys,
A recent POS update changed the printer setup screen, and despite selecting a LAN printer during setup, POS keeps trying to connect wirelessly which obviously never works - no matter how long we wait.
See attached the screen we see. Why is POS trying to wirelessly pair to a LAN printer?
Can someone pass this along to the developers? Seems like a bug or at least should work better because this screen NEVER connects to our LAN printer (MicroStar TSP100III).
Cheers, Ben
did you ever get a solution? The problem we have is that we have three registers in the store and even though we select each registers default printer, Shopify POS keeps changing the default printer. Why cant we lock each printer to a single POS?
No, it just sorted itself out after an update. Although, in the mornings we have to remove the printer and re-add it via setup about 30% of the time. Don't know why, there have been years when the connection always works then after updates, periods where it requires constant management.
