Please TURN OFF the animated total on POS!

Not sure how many others have noticed this, but with the new POS, when the total in the lower right corner updates, it quickly animates from where it was to what it should be. That's probably nice when you're selling things that are 50 cents, but if you add anything more than a few bucks, you have to wait 1-3 seconds for the total to update. I'm sure Shopify thought they were being cute with this, but it really just creates a hassle when I say to the customer "okay, looks like your total is ...... $250". Can we please remove that feature, or at least have the ability to turn it off ourselves? The less awkward pauses I experience in my life, the better...  😕

I appreciate you sharing your feedback about this.

 

I've been testing it out on my POS app (using iOS 15.5) and I haven't been able to replicate the slow loading issue. Can you please send a report from the Shopify POS app so our team can investigate? 

 

I'll make sure that our developers receive your request to turn off the animation, but I'd also like to make sure that there isn't a technical issue with the app. Thank you!

It seems to only happen when I add a custom product with a high price. Although, I don't know - maybe if Shopify hadn't put the extra step of having to click "Go to Cart" to actually get to the cart after adding an existing product, I would notice it there, too?

Can you please remove this "Go to Cart" from POS?

It is causing us issues and delaying the order processing.  We would appreciate an option to remove this urgently.  Thanks

Have you submitted a report from your POS app? I haven't been able to replicate any delayed order processing issues, but this is absolutely something our team will want to investigate further. Please send a report through the app if you haven't already so we can take a look into this with you. Thank you!

Thanks Sophie for your answer. I have not created a report from the POS.  The delay is caused because we are a Disability Services company and people using the POS are vision impaired and therefore this "Go to cart" that is blue, makes it hard for them to click on it thus delaying the order processing.  We want an app that can be customized to our needs. We want the "Go to cart" removed. thanks
