Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Items that were in some categories in the smart grid are randomly showing a picture off a boot.
These items had no image to begin with. The boot picture is not even something we sell.
No image shows up when you check them in the back end.
We're having the same issue! Would love for it to go back to no image - or at least let us upload a default image for products without pictures!
Stupid programmers and/or stupid product managers for Shopify is why it is doing that. If they want a default image on their own app, the Shop App, which is an aggregator of all our stores, it should NOT override our images in our POS or backend, even if that product does not have an image. It's a line or two of code to correct that. I'm going to report it as a bug.
Same issue here. Only started showing today
Us too! It's extremely silly since we are a printshop. Can't figure out where it's coming from or how to turn it off.
Can confirm we are also having the same issue, on Shopify Plus
Yes, we have the same problem. Do not see any means to change it. Let us know if you find the solution! Thank you!
I submitted a request to POS support and got this back:
"I see that you have mentioned concerns with a boot image on your products that you did not add.
To confirm, this is a known issue that our developers are already working on a fix. Please ensure to install POS updates as it becomes available in your device, as fix will be released on the next updates. Target resolution will be released on POS app version 9.21.
As a workaround, you can add a photo of your product in your Shopify Admin to replace the 'shoe' photo. As this default 'shoe' image are currently being automatically added to those products that doesn't have an image uploaded."
Thanks for sharing that!
