POS chip reader for Android users in Canada

Can you please tell me when you will have a chip/tap POS reader for ANDROID users available in Canada? I have been asking for this for over five years (since the headphone jack reader became obsolete). Every time I try to bring it up with customer service I am dismissed with no help and no information regarding this product. Since client requests are dealt with "internally", I am not able to follow up with the developers.

It has been suggested to me by Shopify to do the following: 

- use the headphone jack device (no longer available)

- get an Apple phone 

- buy a third party reader such as Square to manage my in person transactions 

These are not viable solutions.

I pay a lot for Shopify to manage my website and my stock, it is completely unacceptable that there is no Android product available in Canada. Can you please let me know exactly what your plans are to remedy this issue.

The Wisepad reader (here) works on Android via bluetooth.
