Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
The recent POS updates are annoying (I wish the devs worked in retail with long line ups, then they'd get it) but the one that drives me most crazy is that the receipt screen now has e-mail set as the default. No doubt this is designed to help us capture customer e-mails, but if I have a long line up in the wine shop and I have people paying cash, it's completely unnecessary and slows everything down.
Is there a way to disable this function? I've looked but I can't find one.
We are looking for a solution to this as well. I wish when the devs made changes, they would at least leave an option in settings to use the previous setting.
I agree, this and not being able to enter pricing for items with no UPC.
Shopify need's to send some employees to work a retail register for a few weeks.
These are simple task's (should be in all POS software) that waste time at a check out line.
Yes! We don't like that default setting either! It would be great if we could set the default from the admin side!
Did you ever find a solution to this? So frustrating having to tell each customer they can deselect if they’d like. There should be an easy toggle for this.
WHY has this not been fixed yet given the number of threads complaining about this "feature?" This has absolutely crashed the efficiency of our checkout experience, annoying both customers and staff. It needs to be removed or at least made an opt-in. So frustrating.
