Hi there,
We have too many products and variants on our online store for the Shopify POS app. However, we only sell a small sub section of these products in our physical store. So we changed the channel visibility for our non-retail products to hidden and managed to run POS from an iPhone 8 perfectly. Then we bought an iPad Air 3rd Gen (more RAM than the iPhone) but the app keeps giving an error during inventory load/startup.
Any help/advice would be very very welcome please.
Out of curiosity approximately how many individual SKU's are being loaded? We are looking to possibly implement Shopify POS for our companies, but have some scalability concerns. Strange how nowadays a lot of these packages should be cloud-based, whereas Shopify POS appears (guessing here) to be kind of hybrid behind the curtain. Loading up thousands of products locally and syncing them up seems to be a bit archaic. If that's what's going on really...
When we continue to test Shopify POS we should have interesting results. Our situation is the opposite. Due to vendor restrictions from selling their product online, we have around 50,000 POS SKU's and a far lesser amount online!
