Not a question, but a very frustrated comment!
Apparently there is a problem with Google Cloud that is causing issues with, among other things, POS checkout.
I understand that credit card machines go down. Been dealing with that forever. But apparently, whatever this issue is has killed POS completely. We cannot even take CASH payments at the moment. Any form of payment, INCLUDING CASH, causes a "Checkout failed."
Unacceptable.

Nope. Google Cloud outage knocked out everyone’s POS for a while. Now I remember why I keep Square on my phone.
Likely service control bug — required updates.
