POS login problems

Today our Shopify POS must have logged out, I had uninstall then reinstall the app, but then it required a login,  (I have POS Lite - so I guess only one user).  I have 3 employees, we all use the same numerical code,  it required my email & my shopify password, then 2-step authentication text to my phone.  The problem is I'm going out of country for a week, if this should happen again, what are my employees going to do.  I don't want to leave my password to shopify, but even if I did, with the 2-step authentication they wouldn't be able to get in anyway.  Any advice on how what to do?

Hey @SoulStonz

This is a great question! One thing that I would recommend is that you reach out to our Support Team through the Shopify Help Center. This would allow us to look into your account and get a better understanding of what we can do with the Users of your business depending on your Shopify Plan.

The other option would be to log in with a code, and you can refer to our "Log in with a code" resource which provides more information on this specific method. This process would look like the following.

If the Shopify POS app is logged out, your staff would be presented with the following two options:

  1. Log in
  2. Log in with code

After selecting Log in with code, they'll be presented with a code on-screen.

It would then be a case of where you would want to head over to shopify.com/activate on your end (through a mobile device, tablet, desktop, or laptop) and enter the same code that your staff are seeing on-screen of the Shopify POS app.

After entering that same code, you'll then be asked to log in with your email address + password + two-step authentication code. After doing this, you'll then be asked if you want to Log in to Shopify POS on other device?

After clicking Log in, you'll then see the following update which would mean that your staff have been able to access the Shopify POS app.

After successfully logging in to the Shopify POS app, your staff will want to tap the Lock Screen button (as shown in the following image). After doing this, they'll then see the PIN screen where they can continue to enter the same PIN that you've been using so far.
