POS - Processing cash payments with no POS hardware

Hello!

Question: Is it possible to process cash payments with Shopify POS without the hardware (app only).

We are considering using Shopify POS as our point of sale for our festival conditionnally that we can use our Android tablets that we have previously invested in.

Prior to investing too much time in the setup, we would like to confirm that it is possible to use our own cash registers, without the need of purchasing Shopify POS hardware.

Yes, you can. You need to make sure Cash is enabled in Settings ➡️ Payment types.
